Oren Gian is a Jewish-Persian Israeli. He is a veteran of the IDF’s International Cooperation Division, with experience bridging diplomacy and defense. He has been actively involved in youth peace initiatives, working alongside Arab communities, and addressed the United Nations Security Council on the role of youth in peacebuilding.
During the ongoing “Iron Swords” war, Oren Gian served as a liaison officer to the U.S. Armed Forces during critical operations, gaining firsthand insight into the complexities of security and conflict resolution in the Middle East. This dual perspective – from idealistic peace efforts to real-world military responsibility shaped his understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the vital role of education in fostering peace, and the importance of international cooperation. Oren is looking forward to a lively exchange with the guests.
