Mr. Schweitzer will provide us with an overview of the evolution of terrorism and Israel’s response to it. Of particular interest will be his research based on conversations with failed suicide bombers in Israeli prisons, which he will report on.
Yoram Schweitzer leads the Program for Terrorism and Low Intensity Conflict at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) in Tel Aviv. With an impressive background in Israeli intelligence and academia, he has advised top government offices on anti-terror strategies and conducted groundbreaking research on terror groups including al-Qaeda.
