Wir laden Euch am Sonntag, den 22.10. um 16:00 Uhr (deutsche Zeit) zu einem Gespräch über die aktuelle Situation in Israel und ihre Wurzeln, das sich insbesondere mit dem palästinensischen „Rückkehr“-Narrativ und der Rolle westlicher Akteure bei dessen Ermöglichung befasst.
Dr. Einat Wilf ist eine der führenden Denkerinnen zum Themen Israel, Zionismus, Außenpolitik und Bildung. Sie war von 2010 bis 2013 Mitglied des israelischen Parlaments, wo sie den Vorsitz des Bildungsausschusses innehatte und Mitglied des einflussreichen Ausschusses für auswärtige Angelegenheiten und Verteidigung.
Geboren und aufgewachsen in Israel, diente Dr. Wilf als Geheimdienstoffizierin in den IDF, als außenpolitische Beraterin des stellvertretenden Ministerpräsidenten Shimon Peres und als strategische Beraterin bei McKinsey & Company.
Dr. Wilf hat einen BA-Abschluss von Harvard, einen MBA von INSEAD in Frankreich und einen Doktortitel in Politikwissenschaft von der Universität Cambridge. Sie war Goldman-Gastprofessorin an der Georgetown University und ist Dozentin an der Reichman University in Israel.
Dr. Wilf ist Autorin von sieben Büchern, die sich mit zentralen Themen der israelischen Gesellschaft befassen. „We Should All Be Zionists“ (Wir sollten alle Zionisten sein), das 2022 veröffentlicht wurde, fasst ihre Essays aus den letzten vier Jahren über Israel, den Zionismus und den Weg zum Frieden zusammen; das gemeinsam mit ihr verfasste „The War of Return: How Western Indulgence of the Palestinian Dream Has Obstructed the Path to Peace“, wurde 2020 veröffentlicht.

Join us on Sunday, 22.10 at 16:00 (German time) for a conversation about the current situation in Israel and its roots, dedicating special attention to the Palestinian ‘return’ narrative, and the role that Western actors played in enabling it.
Dr. Einat Wilf is a leading thinker on Israel, Zionism, foreign policy and education. She was a member of the Israeli Parliament from 2010 to 2013, where she served as Chair of the Education Committee and Member of the influential Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
Born and raised in Israel, Dr. Wilf served as an Intelligence Officer in the IDF, Foreign Policy Advisor to Vice Prime Minister Shimon Peres and a strategic consultant with McKinsey & Company.
Dr. Wilf has a BA from Harvard, an MBA from INSEAD in France, and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Cambridge. She was the Goldman Visiting Professor at Georgetown University and is a lecturer at Reichman University in Israel.
Dr. Wilf is the author of seven books that explore key issues in Israeli society. “We Should All Be Zionists“, published in 2022, brings together her essays from the past four years on Israel, Zionism and the path to peace; the co-authored “The War of Return: How Western Indulgence of the Palestinian Dream Has Obstructed the Path to Peace”, was published in 2020.
